Conditions Treated

In 2002, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a report entitled "Acupuncture: Review and Analysis of Reports on Controlled Clinical Trials".

The WHO report contains a review of controlled clinical trials performed on a limited number of disease conditions published through 1998 and includes conditions reviewed for which acupuncture is considered effective.

The World Health Organization does not consider this review to be a fully comprehensive list of diseases, disorders, and conditions treated by Chinese medicine.

A summary of WHO categorized conditions treated is included on this page.
